Sharing Evidence-Based Tools and Models to Enhance Global Clean Sport Education at International USADA Summit
Prevention Strategies’ research affiliate, the Center for Athlete Well-Being (CAW) at UNCG, shared innovative, evidence-based tools to enhance clean sport education at the 7th annual PEERS summit hosted by USADA. They led sessions on translating research data and learning theories into practical resources for the benefit of athletes and teams worldwide. Drawing on several studies they conducted with USADA, the CAW team introduced a conceptual model aligned with the International Standard of Education (ISE) to promote lasting behavioral change in athletes. They shared effective strategies for overcoming barriers to data collection in the sport community, and also presented a changeability matrix, a strategic tool to help anti-doping agencies allocate resources more effectively. Their insights provide tangible resources that can drive a global standard for clean sport education.
