Helping UNC System Faculty Help Students

Prevention Strategies has collaborated with the UNC Greensboro to launch GUIDE (Guiding Universities in Demonstrating Empathy); an empathic communications training that empowers college faculty and staff to conduct effective student support conversations. GUIDE empowers faculty members with empathetic communication skills, so that they can support students’ unique circumstances related to stress and anxiety or other mental health challenges.

Thanks to funding from the North Carolina Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund, universities in the UNC System can host up to four trainings on their campus at no cost.

Additional information on GUIDE and the UNC System support for these trainings can be found here.
