Dr. Annie Kearns Davoren serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Science Officer at Prevention Strategies, where she leads both the strategic direction and scientific vision of the organization. As CEO, she oversees organizational growth, partnerships, and innovation in evidence-based practice. As Chief Science Officer, she continues to direct a dynamic research portfolio focused on athlete and young adult well-being, with emphasis on applied, actionable insights that bridge data and decision-making. An expert in applied research and evaluation, she is recognized for her collaborative, client-centered approach to survey methodology and mixed-methods design. Prior to her leadership at Prevention Strategies, Dr. Kearns Davoren spent 14 years at the NCAA, where she led some of the nation’s largest athlete well-being studies and helped inform national policy for nearly 100,000 student-athletes. She also held a senior research role at NORC at the University of Chicago, deepening her work in team climate, evaluation, and program impact studies. She holds a PhD in Research Methodology from Loyola University Chicago, an MPA from Indiana University Bloomington, and a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN.
