Dr. GracieLee Weaver earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, Masters in Public Health, and PhD in Community Health Education from the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG). She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBCHWC) and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). She formerly worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Education at UNCG. Her research focuses on workplace health and safety and substance use prevention. Among other projects, Dr. Weaver was the lead on a project to examine current trends in the quality of workplace wellness initiatives and Co-Investigator on a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to develop and test an online opioid misuse prevention program for workers in industries with high risks for injury and opioid dispensing.
